Hi

I have an old disk which no longer works so ive just re-purchased it from Steam but cant get it to work with Win 64 - My Questsions are - Do i need to install it to a specific location ? Do i need to install the 1.00 - 1.64 UK Update - What order do i install them ?

Belly the Steam version comes patched already to 1.6.
Install the multiplayer 2.3 patch (http://allr6.com/discuss/viewtopic.php?id=3 or page 1 of this thread)
into where you installed your Rainbow Six 3 Gold.

Give these a try if any issues with the game running on your PC:

Hi all,

Can someone please help me, i am trying to get Raven Shield to work on Windows 10.
So i installed Raven Shield from my original copy that i bought years ago. It installs fine, I patched it, however, when i try to run it i get this error:

Access Denied
Please login with administrator priveleges and try again

I am on an administrator account so its not permission problem, i also tried compatibility mode and right run as admin, both didnt help.

Any idea on how to fix this guys? Thanks

Open up the DirectX folder in your Raven Shield folder. Run the Setup for that. That might help.

Ok so I installed RVS on my laptop now too to test if it would work there, it is also using Windows 10. However i'm getting the same error message when trying to run RVS.

I will see what if anything these other guys running it on Win10 had to do. It sounds like its not being run as administrator even though you selected that option right? Did you do it on the Ravenshield.exe in the game folder or just the shortcut to the game?

I managed to get it running! It needs a no cd crack however to run on Windows 10 if u use the original CD from back in the day.
Windows 10 does not support SafeDisc anymore, the old security on cd-roms. I removed the ENB files that I copied from the Windows10Fix.zip btw cause this gave graphical glitches. It runs fine without them But I could not manage to log in in the multiplayer browser, did they stop supporting it?

If u run the steam version u wont see this problem because it's the digital version of the game.

Install to your Rainbow Six 3 Gold or Raven Shield folder.
(Click browse when you open installer and find where your game is installed.
You will then see the multiplayer servers

if i try to join a server my game wont react to anything i do, i still can move my cursor but it does not join the game any idea why ?

Someone else had that issue too. Really rare. Try making your connection speed in the game options T3.

You can also try the max graphics and memory fix in the Resources section of the site here. Let me know if it works.

It hasnt come to an end. Its going stronger than ever. We have new maps on our servers being made weekly. New guns. Custom gun camos. New holographic, acog, red dot scopes and sights, M203 grenade launcher attachment. Quick question-- I installed the patch and all seems to be working well. I successfully bypass the UBI.com login and am taken to the list of servers to join. However, whenever I click to join a server the game becomes nonresponsive. The background music continues to play and I can move the mouse but cannot interact with any buttons. Any help would be appreciated as I'm at a loss. I'm running windows 10 and downloaded through steam.

Hey thats a common error with W10. Is your connection speed set to T3 in the game options under Multiplayer? (it should be)

Join us sometime on our servers!

It is, but they will have to use JOIN IP to your external IP address.

They will also need the 2.3 patch. And set connection speed to T3

but when my buddy wants to join after i give my exact server ip it says: server did not respond... and when he tries to start a server his game crashes.
